Preparing for a foster care placement can happen unexpectedly. Fosters Closet provides essential items at no cost to help children entering foster care feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

We support children ages 0–18 and the caregivers who welcome them.

Who Can Request Assistance?

  • Licensed foster parents.

  • Kinship and relative caregivers.

  • Social workers and authorized child welfare professionals.

  • Other authorized individuals coordinating care for a child in foster care.

Requests are reviewed individually. Additional information or placement verification may be requested to help us confirm eligibility and coordinate appropriate support.

What Items Are Available?

Depending on current inventory, assistance may include:

  • Clothing and shoes (ages 0–18)

  • Diapers, wipes, and baby essentials

  • Car seats and bassinets

  • Beds and bedding

  • Hygiene and personal care items

  • School supplies, toys, and comfort items

All items are provided at no cost and are subject to availability.

How It Works

  1. Submit a Request. Complete our assistance request form with your contact information, the child's general age range, and the items needed.

  2. Request Review. Our team will review your submission and may contact you for additional details or placement verification.

  3. Coordination. If items are available, we will contact you to coordinate the next steps, including pickup arrangements.

  4. Receive Support. Once arrangements are confirmed, you can receive the available items at no cost.
